South of France. Seminar in the Camargue – yes, of course, you can book our Maison d`hôtes exclusively for a seminar. Our eco-responsible group accommodation is located in the centre of Vauvert in the Petite Camargue. 20 minutes from Nîmes, 40 minutes from Montpellier and 30 minutes from Arles. At the doorstep of the Camargue and Provence.
The special thing about a seminar in the Camargue at Envie de Sud is the excellent Mediterranean cuisine as well as the innovative breakfast offer and the charm of the house with its comfortable and colourful rooms.
With our help behind the scenes, your residential seminar or corporate staff retreat will be a success because we organise it with Swiss precision and reliability. For many years we have been managers of large and small international teams. Therefore, we know that it is important for you to take a break from your daily activities in order to focus on the vision and strategy of your company. Of course, we know that your event is very special and important to you – relax! You will leave us with new ideas and energy and an even stronger team than before.
Our house is ideal for a group of 6 to 10 participants for a seminar in the Camargue. We do not recommend more than 12 participants to keep the intimacy of a company seminar.
What is the half-board seminar rate?
- Price per person 2 days/ 1 night – in single room 230 Euro, in double or twin room 180 Euro. (1 night stay only on weekdays between Monday and Wednesday)
- Rate per person 3 days/ 2 nights – single room 400 Euro, double or twin room 310 Euro
- Rate per person 4 days/ 3 nights – single room 550 Euro, double or twin room 420 Euro

The basic seminar rate always includes accommodation in a single or double room with breakfast, dinner including aperitif, menu, wine, coffee, rental of the seminar room and healthy snacks and drinks during the breaks (morning and afternoon). - Minimum charge 1500 Euro
- Between mid-June and mid-September we do not accept seminars.
Accommodation - how many rooms do you have? Do all rooms have a bathroom?
We have 4 bedrooms and 2 gîtes (studios with kitchenette). Each with its own private bathroom. In total we have 13 beds in different sizes. The rooms are all nicely decorated and offer great sleeping comfort.
What size is the seminar room?
The seminar room is 30m2. It is a “multipurpose” room with a table for 12 people and a sitting area with armchairs. There is a 70 inch screen.
For group work: Depending on the season, it is possible to work in the garden around small tables. All year round you can work in the veranda.
Is there wifi and high speed internet?
Yes. There is wifi throughout the house and in the garden.
What kind of meals do you offer for a seminar?
The standard offer for business seminars includes healthy snacks during breaks (morning and afternoon), a la carte breakfast and dinner with wine. Non-alcoholic drinks are included throughout the day. We cook in Mediterranean style with organic products.
Lunch is optional. We will also be happy to book a table in a restaurant in Vauvert. There are several restaurants within a 10 minute walk.
Can we use a kitchen? We would like to cook for ourselves.
Yes and no. A small kitchen is available. Maybe you can prepare a meal at lunchtime?
We assume that the seminar participants are primarily focused on their project and not on cooking, shopping and doing the dishes.
We make a distinction between a company seminar where the participants meet in a professional setting and a leisure seminar where they get to know each other better.
What activities can we do in the region?
Vauvert is located in the Petite Camargue, not far from Nîmes, Aigues-Mortes and Arles.
The possibilities of activities are endless.
Wine tasting, a visit to a manade, a meeting with local artists, a boat trip, a visit to a nature reserve with an ornithologist…

What are the booking/cancellation conditions?
Payment: At the time of booking you pay a deposit of 20%. A further 30% deposit is payable 60 days before arrival. The last 50% is due 30 days before arrival.
Check-in: Day of arrival from 9.00 am (applies to the common area and the seminar room, rooms are available by 5.00 pm at the latest)
Check-out: On the day of departure from 18.00 hrs at the latest (applies to the common area and the seminar room, rooms must be vacated by 11.00 hrs)
Standard cancellation: Cancellations up to 60 days prior to arrival are free of charge, cancellations between 30 and 59 days prior to arrival are subject to a 50% cancellation fee, cancellations between 1 and 29 days prior to arrival are subject to a 100% cancellation fee. In the event of cancellation, we will immediately put the gîte up for sale and only charge for the days when the gîte is actually empty. However, we recommend that you take out travel insurance in case of exceptional events such as illness or accident. If you wish to have complete flexibility, we recommend that you book at the last minute.
Cancellation Covid-19: Cancellation without charge up to the last minute is of course possible if travel in France is prohibited by the government. (National lockdown). In all other cases, the standard cancellation conditions apply.
Can I only book the seminar room? Without accommodation?
No, this is not possible because we want to give each group maximum attention and privacy. We are first and foremost an accommodation establishment, which also offers a seminar room.
Anything else I should know?
- Envie de Sud is a 100% non-smoking area inside and outside. People who wish to smoke are invited to sit on the terrace in front of the house (rue Broussan).
- The use of drugs is not tolerated.
- We ask you to show respect for the neighbours. As the house is in the centre of Vauvert, parties with loud music are not allowed.
- We do not accept pets.
Do you have parking?
No, but it is possible to park without any problem a few steps from Envie de Sud. On the street or in the car parks. It’s free.
Moreover, Vauvert has a train station. So you can also come by train. Take the regional train from Nîmes to Le Grau du Roi.
Regardless of the time of day, it is possible to take a taxi from Nîmes station. The journey takes a maximum of 30 minutes.
